Rockwall, TX (November 15, 2025) – A serious early-morning collision between a motorcycle and an 18-wheeler shut down all eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 in Rockwall on Thursday, November 13, leaving one rider severely injured and causing a major traffic disruption that lasted several hours.
The crash occurred around 5:00 a.m. near Ridge Road, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Officials reported that the motorcycle had been stopped on the shoulder of the highway when it was struck by an eastbound 18-wheeler. The impact caused the truck to catch fire, sending flames and smoke into the air as emergency crews rushed to the scene.

The roadway has since reopened, but the investigation remains ongoing.
